How many cores and threads does Core Ultra X7 358H have, and is it suitable for gaming and video editing in a laptop?

  The Core Ultra X7 358H is 16 cores and 16 threads (4 performance + 8 efficiency + 4 low-power, no Hyper-Threading) on Panther Lake, 1.9GHz base and 4.8GHz max turbo, 18MB L3, 80W TDP, 50 TOPS NPU, launched Q1 2026. It's the solid mid-tier of Intel's new performance-mobile platform, and both single-core and the new iGPU are worth attention.

The gap to the flagship 368H is mostly top clocks, barely noticeable day to day. Gaming, editing, and compiling all run well, and the 50 TOPS NPU satisfies Copilot+; this tier fits machines aiming for performance without the flagship tax.
