How does Core Ultra 7 270K Plus handle gaming, and how large is the gap versus cheaper models?

The Core Ultra 7 270K Plus is a 24-core, 24-thread desktop part (Arrow Lake, no Hyper-Threading). 1080p high refresh checks CPU single-core speed, memory, and the engine; 1440p balances CPU and GPU; 4K is usually GPU-led. The 24 cores shine when compiling, streaming, or rendering at the same time.

When comparing cheaper chips, fix the GPU, memory, driver, and BIOS power settings, then compare frame times in the same scene. Core count can't replace testing — don't claim FPS from it. As a gaming pick its value is mediocre; productivity is where it belongs.
