GeeCoolFor everyday local AI the 265K is rarely the bottleneck. Twenty cores with VNNI handle quantized small-model inference and ONNX batch jobs comfortably, and the gap between its quoted 33 TOPS and the 36 TOPS of the bigger parts is mostly invisible in normal tasks, living on paper rather than in daily use.
If the budget lands on the U7 and you still want an unlocked K chip, the 265K holds onto nearly the whole AI story for less money. Sustained all-core heavy workloads are where it falls behind, and that duty belongs to a GPU or the 9-series. Treating 33 TOPS as GPU-class capacity mixes two different kinds of compute.
