How many cores and threads does Core Ultra 5 125U have, and is it suitable for gaming and video editing in a laptop?

The Core Ultra 5 125U is 12 cores and 14 threads (2 performance + 8 efficiency + 2 low-power) on Meteor Lake, 1.3GHz base and 4.3GHz max turbo, 12MB L3, 57W TDP, 11 TOPS NPU. With only 2 performance cores, office work, browser multitasking, and light creation are its range.

Sustained performance on a U platform follows the system power limit, memory, and cooling. Long encodes or renders aren't its direction — for those, pick a machine with a usable plugged-in performance mode and enough memory, and expect medium-low settings from the iGPU in games.
