How many cores and threads does Core i7 13645HX have, and is it suitable for gaming and video editing in a laptop?

The Core i7 13645HX is 14 cores and 20 threads (6 performance + 8 efficiency) on Raptor Lake, up to 4.9GHz max turbo, 24MB L3. It's the sibling of the 13650HX with nearly identical specs and a hair more boost — indistinguishable in practice, and equally common in 2023 HX gaming laptops.

These near-identical sibling SKUs are common in branded laptops; arguing over which is stronger is pointless — judge the whole machine and price instead. How much of the HX chip you get still comes down to the chassis's power delivery and cooling.
